MARC India has been established with the aim to disseminate the MARC (Mesophilic Aerobic Rapid Composting) technology and its implementation in different states in India to overcome the problem of solid waste management through sustainable way. MARC India is a firm with joint proprietorship of two experts from interdependent fields. One partner, who developed the technology, is responsible for the technical aspect of the composting technology in the fields and marketing; the other one is responsible also for its marketing, and implementing in fields and takes the responsibility of its operation and maintenance. The first partner has experience of over 30 years and expertise in the fields of solid waste management, environmental sanitation, waste water and septage management in India and some developing countries. He worked with the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India and has written several books on sanitation and waste management aspects, released by the Ministry, Government of India and other agencies. He completed several projects on related fields, supported by different international funding agencies. Earlier, he got patented one technology of composting- that works even at low atmospheric temperature of 4-5o C. It is more suitable for hilly areas. The MARC technology is in the process of patent. It has been successfully implemented at several places and got appreciation from the well known clients in India.
The other partner has over 20 years experience and expertise in implementing sanitation related projects in different states in India. He has been actively involved in several social and environmental activities related to community mobilization, awareness/ motivation and capacity programs in different states and implemented several projects on Mobile toilet vans, household and community sanitation, completed several projects on maintenance & housekeeping for different national and international agencies.
In addition to solid waste management, the firm also undertakes implementation of the projects on waste water treatment, septage management, toilet linked biogas plants, training & capacity building, monitoring and evaluation in related fields.
The Firm is registered having registered office at Dwarka, New Delhi. It has adequate support staff to take the orders and supply and implement the projects on time bound way.
